Contracts up in 2015

I thought this was worth documenting as it’s something that comes up regularly.

We have several first-team players with contracts expiring this summer:

Brad Friedel
Jordan Archer
Benoît Assou-Ekotto
Bongani Khumalo

We then have youngsters with unknown contract lengths who I suspect might be released if their deals are expiring:

Cristian Ceballos
Tomislav Gomelt
Rúben Lameiras
Aaron McEneff
Ken McEvoy
Alex McQueen
Jon Miles

Grant Hall might be included too, although the club could get a fee for him – he’s a relatively proven Championship player.

Daniel Akindayini is on the 3rd year of a scholarship and will surely be released.

Lloyd Ross is the only one of the second year scholars that I am adamant will be released – the following are borderline between being given professional contracts or offered a third year of their scholarship:

Anthony Georgiou
Cy Goddard
Shayon Harrison
Joe Pritchard – has had a serious injury.
Anton Walkes – 3 months ago I’d have had him on the ‘release’ list.

They have until the rest of the season to impress basically.

I gather the following have already signed professional contracts or received assurances:

Luke Amos
Ismail Azzaoui
Cameron Carter-Vickers
Christian Maghoma
Kyle Walker-Peters

This site is an excellent resource for contract info.

  1. This wonderful site you recommend hasn't been updated since 2013
    1. They have players who we signed in 2014 on it as well as contract updates that were signed a couple of months ago. It is up to date
    2. As 'cant think of a name' say, it's up to date.
  2. The website had been updated just not the front page http://spursplayers.blogspot.co.uk/?m=0
  3. I thought Kaboul's was expiring this summer?
    1. Aaaah, no, next year. As you were :)
      1. :)
  4. If that was the case then the site correctly predicted which players we would sign in the summer of 2014 and that Harry Kane would sign a new deal commiting to 2019 e.g.
    1. Haha!
  5. Not disagreeing but what makes you so sure Ross will be released? He's not made a huge impact but he's clearly got decent technique. Also what about Harry Voss? There's a bit of a log jam of keepers at the moment with Archer, McGee, Glover and McDermott as well as Whiteman & Austin joining in the summer.
    1. Decent technique but has struggled to stand out. It's only a hunch, let's wait and see.
  6. Hi, It is apparent that you put in a lot of efforts to make it one of the best websites for Tottenham Hotspur fans. You provide a much more balanced perspective as compared to other Tottenham related blogs. I wanted to show you my simple Tottenham Hotspur app. It's beta and has some bugs but I'm working on it. iOS -https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tottenham-football-alarm/id953415359?ls=1&mt=8 Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.footballalarm.tottenhamhotspurfree . Shows you the time left for the next Tottenham Hotspur game. . Rings an alarm before the game begins. . And also gives you news and live commentary. Thanks, bye!
