  1. Does anyone know if any of the games will be televised?

What is your best guess as to who will play

Go on, post a line-up. You know you want to.

    Fond regards

  3. Anon @ 12:10 - I reckon Eurosport may pick them up...

Stinking Pears - I'd reckon a fairly standard U18 side with a few additions perhaps (maybe Nicholson/Byrne or even Carroll/Parrett/M'Poku/Bostock).

Top man, I have a few more questions for you if you don't mind. I stay away from forums for willpower reasons, so this is as big a hit as it gets for me when it comes to Spurs info.

    - I see "professionals" profiles updates. Any observations?
    - It's bigger than last year. More work for your loan updates I'll imagine
    - Almost big enough to comfortably form a reserve squad and still have plenty of loans?
    - Be interesting to see who from that lot is in S.A? Townsend + one or two others?
    - Shame Caulkers already been loaned; with these injuries, pre-season could have been his time to shine. Hopefully Kaboul can make his case, I like him.
    - Has Jansson left? Shame, he looked handy.
    - Will Smith renew his contract?

Be interesting to see how loans pan out next season. Are these the rough levels you'd expect

    Premiership: Possibly Townsend or Rose

Championship: Mason, M'poku, Smith, Button (if someone offers him regular games)and Bostock (make or break for him)

League 1: Parret, Kane, Carrol, (big seasons expected from them. First loans for Fredericks, nicholson, Pritchard, Tapping, Archer, Oyenuga and Luongo. Byrne and Obika probably looking for homes, and maybe even small transfer fees.

    League 2: Possibly Ranieri

Notice thrid year academy scholarships for McBride and Miles. A size thing perhaps?

Who are the ones to watch in the academy then?

Isn't there a international academy tourney soon?

How is Dawkins getting on at SAJ?

If you find any fan reports on the matches in Portgal will you let us know the gist or link them on twitter please? Be interested to see how the Greek lad gets on.

  5. Stinking Pears, hello!

No problem, re: the questions - I'm just happy to see someone take an interest! Reponses below...

    - I see "professionals" profiles updates. Any observations?
I too noticed this, and going back to check again I've seen that they have now added Massimo Luongo, who was not on there originally. Main observations are that Butcher and Blackwood are confirmed as gone. I'm pleased that all of the young players that got contracts did, but they all have a big couple of years ahead of them - if they get any sort of chance, they must grasp it.

    - It's bigger than last year. More work for your loan updates I'll imagine
Quite possibly, although I guess it depends how they do it. Will there be regular Spurs XI games? Will some be kept around for early League Cup and Europa League? I'd hope so.

    - Almost big enough to comfortably form a reserve squad and still have plenty of loans?
Agreed, but we've not entered - fixtures are out.

    - Be interesting to see who from that lot is in S.A? Townsend + one or two others?
I'd be keen to know. Rose will be, Walker presumably is but, like you say, maybe Townsend and one or two others.

    - Shame Caulkers already been loaned; with these injuries, pre-season could have been his time to shine. Hopefully Kaboul can make his case, I like him.
Agreed - I think Caulker should have been kept around this year and given a few matches. Again I agree on Kaboul, I think he is a hugely improved player.

    - Has Jansson left? Shame, he looked handy.
Seems so... although never any mention of it! I always thought he was a little small for a goalkeeper (as short-sighted as that may seem).

    - Will Smith renew his contract?
He has, which I think is good news. He needs a Championship loan this year.

Be interesting to see how loans pan out next season. Are these the rough levels you'd expect

    Premiership: Possibly Townsend or Rose

Championship: Mason, M'poku, Smith, Button (if someone offers him regular games)and Bostock (make or break for him)

    League 2: Possibly Ranieri

I would go along with that largely. I think Kane is hoping for a Championship loan but may have to settle for Orient again. I think Fredericks may be a surprise package this year and could do really well on loan. Really not sure on Bostock - part of me thought he may move on.

-Notice thrid year academy scholarships for McBride and Miles. A size thing perhaps?

Hmm, I think the club just need a bit more convincing.

    - Who are the ones to watch in the academy then?

I particularly like the look of Angol, Ekong, and Stewart from the second years, and like what I've seen from McEvoy, Alex McQueen, Dombaxe and Coulthirt from the first years. Hoping to get to a couple of the early games this time around so should be able to give more solid opinions then.

    - Isn't there a international academy tourney soon?

There is - The NextGen Series. Looks like matches will be 1. televised and 2. played at WHL.

-How is Dawkins getting on at SAJ?

I think it's a good fit, and wouldn't be at all surprised if he stays there. He is back from injury and playing regularly again now.

    - If you find any fan reports on the matches in Portgal will you let us know the gist or link them on twitter please? Be interested to see how the Greek lad gets on.

Sure thing - there's a chap on COYS who is going along, so I should be able to give a general idea of how they have gone.
  6. We are going to play in Eurofoot from 4 of August and the academy will also travel to Milk Cup in Northern Ireland that starts 24 of July.
