Analysis of the goal conceded against Sunderland (29/12)
O’Shea’s goal – After Walker needlessly gives away a free kick, Spurs fail to clear Larsson’s delivery. Lloris saves well from Fletcher, but the ball falls kindly to O’Shea, who side-foots home when unmarked.
Walker gives away the ball and, in trying to make amends he gives away a needless free kick by getting far too tight to Sessegnon. Larsson’s free kick is excellent, as we’ve come to expect from him. Fletcher attempts to flick the ball on, but misses and it hits Dawson.
Fletcher reacts, and gets a shot away, which Lloris steams out to parry from close range.
O’Shea is unmarked on the edge of the six-yard box, with Caulker and Dawson both attempting to clear the ball, and Adebayor and Bale ball-watching. The ball runs kindly for him to side-foot into an unguarded net.
